News 2008

December 6th & 7th - East Coast Ladies - What a wonderful way to finish the year. Bella (Chelsea's new dog ) got her first CC and Zippo got the DCC and BOB both days. Fuse got another CC along with RBOB on the Saturday while it was Bella who got RBOB on the Sunday. On the Satruday, Zippo got BEST OF GROUP & OPEN OF GROUP and then went on to RESERVE BEST IN SHOW & OPEN IN SHOW .

November 29th & 30th - South Tarankai shows - Had a lovely weekend relaxing and taking in the sights along with getting Walka his last CC. He can now be known as CHAMPION Kinbrace A Texas Ranger. This makes Zippo's 4th Champion child and his second this week. Fuse got another 2 CC's and now awaits her first birthday for her final one. Zippo also got a CC and BOB over the weekend.

November 14th, 15th & 16th - Canterbury Show Weekend - super weekend was had by all with great weather although a little hot. On the Friday, Zippo got the DCC & BOB with Walka taking out the DRCC and RBOB. Fuse garnered with BCC. Fuse then went on to PUPPY OF GROUP. On the Saturday, Zippo once again got DCC and BOB with Timone getting the DRCC. Jinx got the BCC & RBOB with Fuse taking out the BRCC. Jinx went on to LIMIT OF GROUP and ended the day on LIMIT IN SHOW. Vegas got INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP and Zippo got RESERVE OF GROUP . A great day. On the Sunday, Walka got the DCC and BOB and was shortlisted for Group. Zippo got the DRCC and RBOB while Fuse got the BCC and Jinx the RBCC. Fuse went on to PUPPY OF SHOW.

November 1st & 2nd - Taupo Kennel Assn - A nice weekend for us taking just our youngsters away with us. On the Satuday, Walka got the DCC & BOB with Fuse getting the BCC & RBOB. Walka went on to RESERVE OF GROUP & JUNIOR OF GROUP and Fuse went on to PUPPY OF GROUP and then got 3rd in the Puppy Stakes. On the sunday Walka once again got the DCC & BOB while Fuse again got the BCC & RBOB. This time Walka got JUNIOR OF GROUP .

October 26th & 27th - Ladies Kennel Assn - A long weekend for us here in New Zealand and shows on the Sunday and Monday. On the sunday, Zippo got the DCC & BOB while Walka garnered the DRCC and RBOB. in the bitches little Fuse got the BRCC. Zippo went on to OPEN OF GROUP . On the Monday, Zippo got the DRCC and Fuse got the BCC & RBOB.

October 11th & 12th - Tauranga Kennel Assn - another great weekend and super weather. In the Beardies Kovu got the DCC and BOB both days but on the Sunday he went on to BEST OF GROUP & OPEN OF GROUP . In the Aussies, on the Saturday, Zippo got the DCC and BOB with Walka getting the DRCC and RBOB. Fuse got the BRCC and went 2nd in the Puppy Stakes 6 - 12 months. On the Sunday, Walka got the DCC and BOB with Zippo getting the DRCC and RBOB. Fuse got the BCC and also got 2nd in the Puppy Stakes in puppies 3 - 12 months old. Walka went on to JUNIOR OF GROUP .

October 4th & 5th - Bay of Islands Canine Assn - What a stunning venue and lovely weather for the weekend. Saturday saw Walka take the DCC and BOB while Fuse got the BRCC. Walka went on to RESERVE OF GROUP . On the Sunday, Walka once again got the DCC and BOB while Fuse got the BRCC. This time however Walka got RESERVE OF GROUP & JUNIOR OF GROUP and Fuse went on to PUPPY OF GROUP .

September 27/28 - 2008 National Dog Show - A quiet dog show for us with the highlight being Fuse who garnered 3rd in the Puppy Sweepstakes. A Zippo daughter Patsy, did really well and got the BCC and RBOB. Allan was nominated for best dressed gentleman and won. We had a great weekend away in Christchurch anyway .

September 26th - Canterbury Working Dog - A great show with Jeni Sach from Kaasha kennels in Australia the judge. DCC and BOB went to Zippo, while his son Denver got the DRCC. Fuse got the BCC and RBOB while Patsy (Zippo's daughter) got the RBCC. Fuse went on to PUPPY IN SHOW.

September 20th & 21st - Malvern Kennel Assoc - We only took the aussies to this show and both days Zippo got DCC and BOB with Walka taking out the RDCC and RBOB on the Saturday. On the Sunday, Grace got the BCC.

September 6th & 7th - Huntly & District Kennel Assoc - On the Saturday, Walka got the DRCC and Puppy of Breed and Grace got the BRCC. Walka then went on to PUPPY OF GROUP and started a grand weekend for him with PUPPY IN SHOW. In the Beardies, Bernie got the BCC and BOB, and Kovu got the DCC & RBOB. On the Sunday, the Beardies were reversed with Kovu getting the DCC & BOB while Bernie got the BCC & RBOB. In the Aussies, Zippo got the DCC & BOB and Walka got the Puppy of Breed again. He once again went on to PUPPY OF GROUP and ended up the weekend once again with PUPPY IN SHOW. What a super weekend for Walka.

August 30th & 31st - Rotorua Kennel Assoc - On the Saturday we had a really good day with DCC & BOB going to Kovu in the Beardies and Bernie taking out the BCC & RBOB. Kovu went on to BEST OF GROUP & OPEN OF GROUP . In the Aussies, it was Walka who got his first DCC and RBOB while little Fuse got the BCC & BOB. Zippo got the RDCC. Fuse went on to RESERVE OF GROUP & PUPPY OF GROUP . Under Kay Eldred, she went on to PUPPY IN SHOW. On the Sunday, It was reversed in the Beardies with Bernie getting the BCC & BOB while Kovu got the DCC & RBOB. In the Aussies Zippo got the DCC & BOB while Walka took the RDCC & RBOB. Fuse got the BCC. At the Collie Club show on the Saturday, Kovu got the DCC & RBOB while Hannah got the BCC & BOB with Bernie getting the BRCC. Hannah went on to VETERAN IN SHOW while Kovu got OPEN IN SHOW. On the Sunday we had a Working Dog show where Kovu once again got the DCC & BOB with Bernie getting the BCC & ROB. In the Aussies, Zippo got the DCC & BOB with Walka getting the DRCC & RBOB. Fuse once again got the BCC.

August 23rd & 24th - Wellington Working Dog Club and Wellington Ladies KA - On the Saturday afternoon Fuse got her 2nd CC along with RBOB at just 6 1/2 months old, while on the sunday, Walka garnered a RCC with some stiff opposition. This was his first weekend of Championship shows and we are so proud of these two youngsters. Zippo got the DCC and BOB at the Working Dog Club show on the sunday while the star of the weekend had to have been Timone who took out DCC and BOB on the Saturday All Breeds and went on to RESERVE OF GROUP & NZBRED OF GROUP , while at the morning show took DCC & BOB and went on to BEST IN SHOW all ably handled, shown and presented by Bridgette Dixon.

July 27th - Wellington Management Board - On the Sunday, Fuse got her first CC at 6months and 1 day old, while Denver once again took the DCC & BOB. Denver went on to NZ Bred of Group. In the Afternoon show it was Zippo's turn again to get the DCC & BOB wile Nandi got the BCC. In the Beardies, at the Morning show, Kovu and Bernie did a repeat again with Kovu getting the DC & BOB while Bernie got the BCC & RBOB but in the afternoon, Kovu got the DRCC and RBOB while Bernie got the BCC.

July 26th - Pencarrow - What a great start to the weekend. In the Aussies Zippo got the DCC and BOB while Nandi took out the Bitch CC. In the Beardies, Kovu got the DCC and BOB while Bernie got the BCC and RBOB. Zippo then went on to BEST OF GROUP & OPEN OF GROUP . On the sunday Zippo got the DRCC and RBOB and Kovu got the DCC & BOB again and this time got RESERVE BEST OF GROUP while Kovu was awarded RESERVE BEST OF GROUP . Zippo then went on to OPEN IN SHOW . At the afternoon show, Denver got the DCC & BOB and in the Beardies, Kovu got the DCC & BOB again while Bernie got the BCC & RBOB again. This time it was Kovu who went BEST OF GROUP & OPEN OF GROUP . On the sunday Zippo got the DRCC and RBOB and Kovu got the DCC & BOB again and this time got BEST OF GROUP .

July 20th - Hamilton Kennel Association - Today was a quiet day at the show although our wins were good ones. Denver managed to get the DRCC and then went on to NZ Bred of Group while little Fuse received the Reserve CC from the Baby Puppy Class and got Baby Puppy of Breed. She also entered the PUPPY STAKES for puppies from 3 - 12 months old and was awarded 1st place after a run off with a superb Miniature Smooth Daschund. Go Fuse!

June 28th - Hauraki Canine Association - At the AM show, Zippo got the DCC & BOB and then went on to BEST OF GROUP & OPEN OF GROUP . At the PM show, Zippo once again got the DCC & BOB.

June 7th & 8th - Auckland Event Centre: On the Saturday, Zippo got the DCC and BOB while Fuse got the BRCC and BPOB. She went on the BABY PUPPY OF GROUP . Kovu also got the DCC and BOB and he went on to BEST OF GROUP & OPEN OF GROUP . On the sunday Zippo got the DRCC and RBOB and Kovu got the DCC & BOB again and this time got RESERVE BEST OF GROUP .

May 31st & June 1st - Wellington Kennel Centre. - Allan and I went down to Wellington for the two shows on this long weekend taking only Fuse and Zippo with us. Grace came over with Bridget from the SI. Zippo got the DCC and BOB at both shows with Grace taking out the BCC but only getting the RBOB on the Sunday. Fuse managed the Baby of Breed on both days with BABY PUPPY OF GROUP on the Saturday.

May 24th & 25th - Upper Hutt KA - Grace was the only one to attend these shows and on the Satruday got BOB and OPEN OF GROUP .

May 17th & 18th - Marlborough KA - Well, Coralee joined us for the big trip down south, across the strait in the ferry to attend these shows. We had a great weekend with DCC & BOB going to Zippo on the Saturday and the Sunday and him going RESERVE OF GROUP on the Saturday. The Reserve CC went to his son Vinnie. In the bitches, Grace got the BCC & RBOB on the Saturday, while on the Sunday she came away with the RCC. Little Fuse, our newest addition, won the Baby of Breed both days over her brother, and went on to BABY PUPPY OF GROUP and the BABY PUPPY IN SHOW on the Satruday at her very first show. On the Sunday she once again got the BABY PUPPY OF GROUP . Kovu also went with us and on the Saturday got the DCC and BOB and on the Sunday came away with the DRCC and RBOB.

May 10th & 11th - Hawkes Bay KA - Grace was the only dog from this kennel entered at the show but kept the flag flying that is for sure. On the Saturday she got the BCC and BOB and then went on to RESERVE OF GROUP . On the Sunday, she got the BCC and RBOB.

May 3rd & 4th - Eastern Bay of Plenty KA - In the Aussies Zippo got the BOB (he is the only one we took as Nandi has come into season) and went on to BEST OF GROUP & OPEN OF GROUP . In the Beardies, Kovu got BOB. On the sunday, Zippo once again got the BOB with Kovu also taking out the BOB. Zippo went on to BEST OF GROUP & OPEN OF GROUP while Kovu went on to RESERVE OF GROUP . Zippo then went on to

BEST IN SHOW ALL BREEDS.

April 26th & 27th - New Plymouth: In the Aussies, Dcc and RBOB to Zippo with the BRCC going to Nandi. In the Beardies, Kovu got the DCC & RBOB while Bernie got the BCC and BOB and then went on to RESERVE OF GROUP .On the Sunday, the aussies did nothing while the Beardies did a repeat performance. Kovu getting the DCC & RBOB with Bernie getting the BCC & BOB and then going on to RESERVE OF GROUP .

April 19th & 20th - Nelson Ladies KA: This weekend we travelled across the Strait on the ferry to Nelson for the weekends shows. What a great weekend it was. On the Saturday, in the Beardies Kovu and Hannah both got the RCC while on sunday, Hannah got the BCC and RBOB and Kovu got the DCC and BOB. Kovu then went on to RESERVE OF GROUP . In the Aussies, on the Sunday, Zippo got the DCC & RBOB while Timone got the DRCC. Grace got the BCC and BOB. On the Saturday, Timone got the DCC & BOB while Zippo got the RCC. Grace got the BCC & RBOB while Nandi got the BRCC. Grace went on to OPEN OF GROUP . Timone went on to BEST OF GROUP & NZ BRED OF GROUP . To top off a great weekend Timone ended up with RESERVE BEST IN SHOW ALL BREEDS & NZ BRED OF SHOW .

April 12th & 13th - Cambridge Kennel Assn: We had Bridgette and Jorga Dixon visiting us for the weekend and helping us to show our dogs. It was great catching up with her again. On the Sunday Jorga handled Grace to 2nd place in the 5 - 7 year old YKC stakes and Chelsea handled Zippo to first place in her age group. On the Saturday, Nandi got BCC & BOB in the Aussies. Nandi then went on the RESERVE OF GROUP & JUNIOR OF GROUP . In the Beardies, Kovu (handled by Bridgette) got the DCC & BOB with Hannah getting the BCC & RBOB. On the Sunday, Zippo got the DCC & BOB while Nandi got the Bitch CC and RBOB after a hard run off the Kiara (handled by Bridgette) for the CC. Kiara took out the RCC. In the Beardies, Hannah got the BCC & BOB while Kovu got the DCC & RBOB.

March 30th & 31sat - Selwyn Kennel Society: Bronwyn was till enjoying herself down in the south Island and finished off her 2 week holiday with BOB at both shows with Hannah and ROB with Kovu, and in the Aussies taking out ROB at both shows with timone. Hannah went on NZ BRED OF GROUP and then finally NZ BRED IN SHOW .

March 30 & 31st - Auckland Exhibition Centre Benefit Shows: A quiet weekend with us doing nothing on the Saturday, however on the Sunday, we got RDCC with Zippo and BCC with Nandi. Zippo also got ROB and then went on to RESERVE OF GROUP .

March 23rd: Canterbury Working Dog: Bronwyn and Bridgette had a great weekend culminating in their taking the DCC & RBOB with Timone and then BCC & BOB with Grace. Hannah once again got the BCC & BOB with Kovu taking out the DCC & RBOB in the Beardies. Grace went on to RESERVE IN SHOW. What a great way to finish a weekends showing.

March 22nd & 23rd : Auckland Kennel Council: Allan and I took Zippo and Nandi to the local shows while Bronwyn was down in the south Island. We had a good weekend in the Aussies with Nandi taking the BCC & RBOB on the Saturday and Zippo getting the DRCC and RBOB on the Sunday. Nandi also got the BCC & JUNIOR OF GROUP on the Sunday. One of Zippo's pups, Patsy, got BABY OF GROUP and BABY IN SHOW on the Saturday, and then got BABY OF GROUP on the Sunday.

March 21st & 22nd : North Canterbury shows: Bronwyn is still down in the South Island and got nothing with Timone on the Friday and RDCC on the Saturday. Grace got BCC & RBOB on the Friday and then BCC & BOB on the Satruday. In the Beardies, Kovu got DCC & BOB on the Friday, with Hannah getting the BCC & RBOB with the placings reversed on the Saturday. No-one did anything in the Group. On the Saturday, Vinnie, one of Zippo's pups got BABY OF GROUP .

March 15th & 16th - Buller KA - Bronwyn took a trip down to the South Island again with Timone and ner 2 beardeis Hannah and Kovu. In the Aussies she got RDCC with Timone on the Saturday and on the Sunday got the DCC & RBOB behind Grace. Grace got the BCC & RBOB on the Saturday and the BCC & BOB on the Sunday. In the Beardies, on the Saturday Kovu got the DCC & RBOB while Hannah got the BCC & BOB. She went on to RESERVE OF GROUP and NZ BRED OF GROUP . On the Sunday, Kovu got the DRCC while Hannah once again got the BCC & BOB. She went on to NZ BRED OF GROUP . A nice weekend had by all.

March 9th - Hamilton KA - An exceptional show for us today - Nandi got the BCC & BOB in the Aussies and went on to BEST IN GROUP and JUNIOR OF GROUP . Chilli, our new star from Coralee got the Baby Puppy of Breed and then went on to BABY PUPPY OF GROUP . In the Beardies, Kovu got the DCC & BOB and went on to INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP while Hannah got BCC & RBOB and went on to NZ BRED OF GROUP and then finally NZ BRED IN SHOW .

March 1st & 2nd - Central Hawkes Bay and Central Districts Working - Allan and I took 3 Aussies down and went for a quiet weekend away. Zippo got the DCC & BOB at all 3 shows with Nandi taking out the BCC & RBOb at all 3 shows. Bond did very nicely and got Puppy of Breed along with the DRCC at the 3 shows. Nandi also got JUNIOR OF GROUP, on the Sunday.

February 23rd & 24th - North Shore - A quiet weekend of showing for us - In the Aussies, Nandi got the BCC on the Saturday and the RBCC on the Sunday. In the Beardies, Kovu got the DCC & BOB both days with Bernie taking the BCC & RBOB both days as well.

February 16th & 17th - Tokoroa Canine Assn & Waikato Working Dog - Well we had a reasonable weekend with our dogs, taking all the CC's and RCC's on offer for both of our breeds. This meant that Zippo got the DCC & BOB at all 3 shows, while Bond got the DRCC and all 3 shows. In the bitches, Kiara got the BCC & RBOB on the Saturday along with JUNIOR OF GROUP,, and then on the Sunday it was the turn of Nandi who got the BCC & RBOB at both shows. In the beardies, on Saturday Kovu got DCC & BOB with INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP , with Bernie taking the BCC & RBOB and then on the Sunday, it was Kovu who got the DCC & BOB with Bernie getting BCC & RBOb at the Working dog show and Bernie who got the BCC & BOB and INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP at the Tokoroa show with Kovu taking out the DCC & RBOB this time. All in all an enjoyable weekend.

February 9th & 10th- Horowhenua - Oonly Zippo went to the show in the Aussies and got DCC and BOB both days, however in the Beardies Kovu got the DCC and RBOB and Bernie got the BCC and BOB along with INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP on the Saturday. Oon the Sunday Kovu got the DRCC and Bernie got the BCC and RBOB. She then went on to INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP, once again.

February 2nd & 3rd - Hibiscus Coast - We only showed Bond in the males and he got Puppy of Breed, and in the bitches Nandi got the BCC and RBOB on the Saturday, along with JUNIOR OF GROUP, however on the Sunday she got the BCC only. In the Beardies, Bernie got the BCC and BOB both days.

January 26th & 27th Nelson District - Bronwyn travelled across the ditch with the ferry to spend a week in Blenheim with Bridgette and then went to the Nelson shows. On the Saturday, Grace got BOB in the Aussies with Zippo getting RBOB. In the Beardies, Bernie got RBOB. On the Sunday, Zippo got BOB in the Aussies while Bernie went BOB in the Beardies.

January 19th & 20th - Kapi -Mana : A reasonable start to the year for this kennel. We took our Aussies and one Beardie to the show and came away with BCC & RBOB at both shows with Nandi and BCC & RBOB at both shows for Bernie. Down in the South Island, Grace did us proud with BCC and BOB at both shows in Christchurch and shortlisted for Group. Grace is visiting with Bridgette Dixon who is going to campaign Grace there and get used to being owned by an Aussie until we are able to provide her with her own puppy.
