News 2011

December - The start of December and the last shows for the year before the Xmas break - DCC and BOB went to Talyn at both shows. Stella arrived out of quarantine and did us proud by taking out both BCC's and then going on to INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP at her first show. She is a little bald at the moment, so will be staying at home until she grows some more clothes. In the Beardies, Austen got DCC and BOB while Charli got BABY PUPPY OF GROUP . At the Sunday show, the rain arrived with persistance, so we did not show Austen, and headed for home early.

November - Had a good start to the month - Ladies Kennel in Auckland - Gunny took out DCC and BOB and then followed it up with a BEST OF GROUP and INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP , and got his final CC to make him a Champion. Talyn got the RDCC. Fuse got the RBCC. IN the Beardies Austen got the DCC and BOB and went on to RESERVE BEST OF GROUP behind Gunny. On the Sunday, Gunny once again got the DCC and BOB and again went BEST OF GROUP and INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP . Austen got the DCC. At the Collie Club specialty, it was Hannah who got the RBCC and RBOB from the Veterans class and got VETERAN IN SHOW while little Charlie got BABY PUPPY IN SHOW .

The end of November saw us at Franklin KA show where Talyn got another DCC and BOB taking his tally to 4. Fuse once again got the BCC's. Austen got BOB at both shows, while litle Charli showed well and garnered a BABY PUPPY OF GROUP .

October - The 1st weekend saw us at Tauranga - well I stayed home with the puppies but Coralee and BJ and Allan went. They had a good weekend - the morning show had Gunny getting DCC and BOB and then went on to INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP. Koru got the BCC. Bronwyn had success with her new Beardie, Charlie, and she got DCC and BOB with Austen and BABY PUPPY OF GROUP with Charlie. At the afternnon show it was Austen who got the DCC and BOB and then INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP and Charlie again taking our BABY PUPPY OF GROUP . On Sunday, Gunny again got DCC and BOB meaning he only has 3 more to go for his Championship. Koru got her final BCC on the Sunday meaning that she is now a Champion subject to NZKC.

The Manawatu weekend was a great success for the Beardies. Austen got RESERVE OF GROUP and INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP at the 1st show, and then RESERVE OF GROUP and INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP at the last show as well. He also came out with RESERVE IN SHOW and INTERMEDIATE OF SHOWat the Collie Club specialty. For little Charlie, she got BABY PUPPY OF GROUP at each of the All Breed shows and BABY PUPPY OF SHOW at the Collie Club show.

The final show of October saw us at Rotorua. DCC and BOB both days went to Gunny with him getting BEST OF GROUP and INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP on the Saturday and RESERVE BEST OF GROUP and INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP on the Sunday. Talyn got RDCC and ROB behind him both days. Koru got the BCC both days. In the Beardies, Austen got DCC and BOB both days, but it was Charlie who shone and got BABY PUPPY OF GROUP both days.

September - This month saw once again 2 sets of shows - At the 1st lot it was Oscar who got a PUPPY OF GROUP , and at the 2nd lot it was Koru who got another 2 challenges along with 2 PUPPY OF GROUP . Bronwyn's new Beardie who showed for the first time got a BABY PUPPY OF SHOW at the Working Dog Show.

August - This month saw Gunny getting his first 3 Challenges and Talyn taking his first 3 challenges at his first 3 shows in New Zealand. Talyn also went RESERVE OF GROUP at his first show. What a fun dog he is to live with, and what a show off in the ring! We look forward to him getting his full coat back again since he started his moult in the US prior to arriving here and is taking a while to get it back. Koru went PUPPY OF GROUP as well as taking 4th Challenge. Austen got BOB at all of the shows and went INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP as well.

July - We had 2 lots of shows again this month with Koru taking out another 2 Challenges and her brother Oscar also getting his first ones. Fuse got a BCC and BOB at the shows at the beginning of July.

June - We did two lots of shows this month, both at Wellington. At the Wellington Kennel Centre shows, Austen got INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP and Koru got PUPPY OF GROUP . At the next set of shows, (4 in total), we were very pleased to introduce our new boy Gunny who did very well at his first set and managed to get Reserve Best of Breed at 3 of the 4 shows. Bobby did well with 3 out of 4 Best of Breeds. Koru got her first Challenge certificate, handled by Chelsea. Fuse got the other 3 Challenges. Austen shone again and got 3 of the 4 Best of Breeds along with INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP at 3 of the 4 shows. He also went on to INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW at the first show.

April - This month had Cambridge shows, Kumeu shows and Nationals for 2011. Cambridge saw our young puppies Koru and Oscar out and about with both of them getting their first RCC's over some good competition. All is looking good for a bright future for these pups. Bella got NZBRED OF GROUP while Austen got a BEST OF GROUP, INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP AND INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW. At Kumeu, Austen got BEST OF GROUP AND INTERMEDAITE OF GROUP while Zippo got RESERVE OF GROUP AND OPEN OF GROUP . Nationals and the preshow went very well with both Austen and Fuse taking out Best of Breed at the Nationals in their respective breeds, Fuse also managed to be shortlisted for the Group and ended up with OPEN OF GROUP while Austen, while shortlisted for the group, managed to get INTERMEDIATE OF GROUP AND INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW at the Nationals.

March - Only done Hamilton Shows at the beginning of the month and Bobby managed a RESERVE OF GROUP AND OPEN OF GROUP at those. He and Allan are doing really nicely in the ring together.

Febraury - Went to a few shows in February - Bobby doing nicely and he managed to get a BEST OF GROUP and OPEN OF GROUP at Tokoroa shows.

January 1st 2011 - A little Ribbon Parade to start off the year again. We only took our 3 new baby puppies and were very happy with their performance. Oscar won his class against Tux and Koru won Baby of Breed. Super weather during the day and lovely company with friends. A nice start to the year.
